Scope: Brand
Background Australian Kitchen Industries (AKI) is Australia’s premier supplier of kitchens for the renovation market. The company has operations in South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland. The Group retails kitchens nationally under the Kitchen Connection Brand, and also through Bunnings Warehouses under the Kitchen Depot brand name. AKI, which is already the largest player in a very fragmented industry, will continue to expand its retail presence throughout Australia. Brief AKI required a logo for a new internal online system that allows them to manage their relationship with the customer from start to finish. The system interface, incorporating the ‘My Kitchen Link’ logo, will be used in the showroom with the customer as a design and order tool. The MyKitchenLink symbol had to represent the stages in the process - sell, make, fit, finish. A visual relationship to the Kitchen Connection logo was also deemed a benefit. The dots in the Kitchen Connection logo, for instance, represent the different parts of the process coming together, ” From Inspiration to Installation”. The system is be used by more than one brand so it needed to be more generic than the Kitchen Connection logo. Solution The MyKitchenLink symbol captures this relationship from start to finish. A circle represents each project stage, and by staggering them above each other, a 3D spherical effect is achieved, floating above the logotype. Futhermore, each of the circles link to a stage in system, for easy navigation. |
